Don't let your child fall behind this summer!

Louisville, KY April 9, 2004 -- Every student looks forward to the break from school that summer brings. But, the summer can also be a great time for a struggling student to not only catch up, but have the opportunity to be better prepared for the following school year, according to Terry Rogers, owner of Club Z! In-Home Tutoring Service. So, between camp, sports and other summer activities, adding tutoring to the mix might be just what your student needs.

"Summer tutoring offers the struggling student the chance to solidify and reinforce what they've learned during the school year, as well as get a jump-start on next year," remarked Rogers, "We've found that just a couple of hours of extra help each week during the summer can dramatically change a student's whole outlook and performance at school, particularly for those students who are moving up to middle school or high school." Club Z! tutors focus on core subjects of math, reading, science and foreign language, but also assist in study skills and organization that those transitional students often need.

Club Z!’s summer tutoring is flexible to accommodate vacation schedules. They also offer students pre- and post-tests of their academic skills using the Kaufman Test of Educational Achievement (KTEA), and closely monitor a student’s performance throughout the tutoring program.

Terry Rogers has owned the Club Z! franchise in the Louisville area for three years and has seen steady growth each year. This summer is expected to be a busy one with the addition of tutoring to meet the needs of students under No Child Left Behind. Through the supplemental educational services of NCLB, Club Z! has become an approved provider in the Louisville area.

The Club Z! concept is simple, yet unique in a number of ways. "What sets Club Z! apart from other tutoring services comes down to three essential differences," explained Rogers, "First, our tutors meet with students one-on-one, rather than in a group setting. Second, our tutors come to the home of the student, which provides a more comfortable setting for the student, and relieves parents of another activity destination. Third, while all our tutors are certified teachers and are vigorously screened and well qualified in their subject area, we also match the tutor to the student in other ways and look for a tutor that will be compatible to a student's personality and learning style," he added.
